The feeding pens are where hundreds of wherry and herd type beasts are kept contained and bred in large amounts. There is a circle of life in all things, and even though they are bred for food for mostly dragons and some humans, they are still well cared for until their number is up. There were areas prepared for other animals such as chickens, bovines and other domesticates, but since the Weyr was never inhabited, everything is currently empty.
